There’s nothing quite like a change in season.  The weather changes, our outfits change, our thoughts change, and our homes change.  Even if you don’t do many decor changes in your home, a change in season means cleaning air filters, having your heating & air conditioning units serviced, and having other seasonal home maintenance tasks completed.

Spring time for many is a time to clean and organize.  This is probably the one time a year that I actually enjoy these tasks because I know when all the work is done my house will be fresh and clean and ready for the new warmer season.  For me, a change in seasons means I get to refresh my home with a change in decor.  I absolutely love decorating my home for the new season!  This weekend that’s exactly what I did.  I opened the windows, cleaned the house, organized and prepared for our upcoming neighborhood yard sale, and decorated for spring.

We also had the pool guy come and get our pool ready for the season!  So excited for that!  I still need to schedule my window cleaning and carpet cleaning but for now I am happy with what I got done this weekend!

So today I’m sharing with you a few pics from my spring home!  Come in & welcome!

Entryway

I’m loving red tulips at the moment.  For some reason this year I’m just not feeling pastels.  Which makes it hard when looking for new decor items because let’s face it, everything at Easter is pastel!

I’m loving these chic black & white Easter eggs!

I’m still not done with my picture wall.  I ordered some pics from our recent family session through Shutterfly and am still waiting for them to arrive.  I will be so happy to have this wall done!

My Spring Mantle

My favorite thing to decorate no matter what the season is my mantle.  I love love love my fireplace!

How cute is this bunny!  I picked him up at Homegoods.  Homegoods is one of my favorite places to shop, but you have to be prepared to hunt.  When I go in there I always make sure I have time to browse.  On this trip I was looking for Easter decor that wasn’t too pastel.  It wasn’t an easy task but I think this bunny is a good fit!

I grabbed these from the grocery store today and I love the palm fronds in them!  The color caught my eye and I couldn’t not bring them home!

Living Room

I didn’t change much in the living room except added a couple colorful pillows.  My girls love these cute pink flowered pillows they picked out at Target.

Kitchen

kitchen spring decor, spring home tourI didn’t add too much to the kitchen either except these cute carrots that I picked up at Michaels.  Also, see the little pink glass dishes with the white bunnies?  I picked those up at a thrift store, .75 cents for both!  They looked brand new so for .75 cents I couldn’t pass them up.  I added a couple little succulents in them to give them a little modern twist.
